A periodical locker check will be held to insure that   lockers are being kept safe and organized.</li>

<li><strong>Office Help: </strong> We will be taking applications for students who  may be interested in serving as a <strong>student  office helper</strong> during  their study hall period.  Please stop in at the  high school  office to  inquire.  The applicants will be subject to secretarial  approval.</li>

<li><strong>Student Messages: </strong><strong> </strong>Students need to remind parents  that  the <strong>high</strong> <strong>school office is unable to deliver personal messages  during  the school day.</strong> The exception is&#8230; real emergencies!<strong> </strong>Parents   may call the Counseling Office at<strong>749-5437, extension 1910</strong>, if  they need to have essential  personal messages to be delivered.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In an attempt to get junior high students more involved in school and in the community, students in the 7th and 8th grade will have an enriched curriculum next year which will include a new Compass Learning Class.  The following is an idea of what the class will entail:</p>
<p>Monday &#8211; &#8220;Every Monday Matters&#8221; a curriculum which heightens social skills with a Service Learning Component</p>
<p>Tuesday &#8211; Compass Math</p>
<p>Wednesday &#8211; Study Skills for Success</p>
<p>Thursday &#8211; Compass Reading and Language Arts</p>
<p>Friday &#8211; Review of current week&#8217;s progress (review planners, check homework deadlines, etc) and planning for next week&#8217;s classes -Time may be used for further curriculum enrichment thought to be needed by junior high teaching staff</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000"><strong>REQUIRED MATERIALS FOR THIS CLASS:</strong></span>  Student Planner (provided by the school for 7th and 8th graders), one subject notebook (multi-colored or a &#8220;fun looking notebook&#8221;, a folder, and a pencil.</p>

Lesson books, 3-ring binder, rosin, metronome, tuner, cleaning rag, shoulder rest for violinists, and end pin holder for cellists and bassists
